Reported for an unhealthy obsession with funerals.

Best to ask your mortuary. Each one does it their own way & what has proven best for their specific customers.

Give ‘em a ring. They are really good generally about answering any and all questions. Patience and understanding is the name of their game.

    Easy.

After everyone leaves, the pull your ass out of the expensive casket, stuff you in an old ford pinto, crush you and the flowers in a compactor and send you off to china where you are melted down and recast into steel beams that are used to build the funeral home that your kids are going to stay in where the nurses and doctors wait till their “visitors” leave and then inject them with anti freeze instead of antibiotics thereby repeating this insane cycle of greed and materialism for future generations of unborn, soon to be exploited flesh, supposing they are lucky enough to emerge from the womb and NOT have their brains sucked out by some bewildered teenager that “just can’t handle it” right now.

Flowers, when properly cut and their stems kept in water, will remain fresh for a number of days. Likewise, if stored in a refrigerated environment, they will also retain their freshness.

This is really a question for a funeral home. As another suggested, ask them.

I don’t know for certain, but my guess would be that many people do not send flowers that far in advance to the funeral home, as funerals are usually held just a few days after the person has past. Before the actual funeral there is often a viewing or two, which means the casket is already in place. Also flowers are arranged with foam that holds water which helps to keep them alive.

Usually the flowers are delivered earlier in the morning, before the services and they are typically arranged before the family and friends of deceased arrives. But really, it depends on the funeral home in question. Different ones have different ways of doing things.

The florists tend to keep the flowers in refrigerated rooms.
