l didn’t really know what to think about arcade fire. Then l saw what dave grohl said about them and now their one of my favorite bands.

@SocietyDr0ne Strokes are the origin of 21st century garage rock? Do you mean they are the first garage rock band you heard on popular corporate radio? Because there were lots of people in that scene in New York before the Strokes broke it open. Maybe the problem is that you don’t know what garage rock is. Watch the number of people and the number playing in an Arcade Fire gig and the kinds of instruments being employed. Garage rock bands don’t have violas

I gotta question!! Could anyone tell me how is called this style? What kind of music is this? And please don’t tell me “pop” or “rock”, I’m not stupid, I can got that by myself. I said I think is a style cuz I know similar bands, so there’s only 2 options: this is just another band that sounds like a lot of more bands, or this is a band that belongs to a style, in this case, what style???

it sux that they dont have a video for wake up yet….. but then again its impossible to make a music video for a song as strong as that…. i think it wud have to be a full movie….

@cainti1 maybe it’s not complicated….maybe it’s not supposed to be. Imagine hearing a solo in F# minor using the Aeolian mode and ends up in A Major…. how would that sound compared to as is? If you think they suck, then think that…they are doing better than yourself

Such a beautiful song and video. It just reminds me of the notion of reincarnation, karma and rebirth, and that of the total lies spoken in the bible.
P.S. Why is there no mention of dinosaurs in the bible?

Saw them on the daily show counted 8 people playing something that 3 people could play just as well. Very basic stuff. The base player is only playing 3 or 4 notes in this entire song. Very basic straight up drum beats and I think the keyboard player was playing with 2 fingers. Yea they suck!
