Although his guards thought that it was odd for him not to rise at his usual time, they were under orders not to disturb him. He was not discovered until that evening. He died four days later, on March 5, 1953, at the age of 74, and was buried on March 9.

I do not believe Stalin was evil. I am American and i think that without Stalin, Russia would be in a terrible state and the allies may have lost ww2. Many Russians today view Stalin as a hero of Russia.
@PolizeiPaul u should know that before the end of WW2 USA were already trying to find out if USSR was weak enought to be attacked, the only reason that they didn’t attack was because Soviet Unioun came out of WW2 much better then expected. (thanks to Stalin)

Good news. Those deaths are just a myth. There are no corpses nor mass graveyards, and was logical and economically impossible to kill such people at that time in the USSR. There are so many myth about Stalin created by the western media and other reactionary forces.
It’s pretty curious that so many people in Russia still love Stalin, having even his portrait painted in buses and metro stations.

Unbelievable. Joseph Stalin, regarded as one of the most evil men in history, ruthlessly killed millions. But look at this. He dies an honored leader with scores of men to carry his embellished casket all around Moscow. Many see Adolf Hitler as the most evil man to exist and while he indeed was equally as heartless, he died in a way he deserved: an unloved coward in a bunker. But Stalin killed just as many or more people in equally ruthless ways. Yet he dies naturally and gets a fancy funeral.

Umm I’m American and I do recognize that Stalin did what he had to do to bring Russia out of the Middle Ages. He didn’t have to be so extreme about it, but complete government control of the economy was what Russia needed at the time. If you overlook his paranoia he was an awesome leader.
