Why should people have to go to funerals if they dont want to?
Whats the point? Why would anyone want to go to a funeral? All it does it makes them 100 times more sad? I hate going to funerals but my parents always force me. Why do people wear fancy black clothes at a funeral? And why do people visit gravesites annually? Dead people cant see them them.

It’s a sign of respect for the deceased. I agree if you dotnt want to go you shouldnt have to, but for most people a funeral is the time to say goodbye to the deceased and celebrate his/her life. Visiting a gravesite annually? This person was a part of someone’s life….it would be a comfort to be near them every once in a while dont you think?

Funerals are a way to say good bye. They wear formal clothing to show respect and some people thing the loved one can see you or it’s just another sign of respect when someone goes to there gravestone. It’s a wat to say the things you couldn’t when the person was alive. It really depends on what you be live in.
usually to pay a bit of respect, black is dull so don’t expect a beer or joke until you hit the bar or pub later? may be dead end up knowing who went to their funeral? would you want any one to go to yours? and why should they?
Every one has to go for good.Attending a funeral is a sort of farewell salute to the deceased.Visiting graves is probably a part of human emotions other than the religious obligations.
Funerals help provide closure to the family and friends of the deceased. They also create an environment where it’s ok to grieve/cry and to get some of the negative emotions out. The funeral is more for the living than the dead.
i don’t really like the idea of funerals either, really; i think your respect towards someone should be shown while they are alive, not just by wearing the right kind of clothing to their funeral after they are gone.
nevertheless, it’s considered rude to refuse to attend the last event to commemorate that person’s life.
black is worn because it is the colour of mourning, and people visit gravesites to speak with the person because some do believe that the person can see and hear them. and even if not, they can just spend some time there feeling like they’re with the person again.
each person has their habits and beliefs; it’s up to you.
hope that helped :)
