The American Childrens Society, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that was formed to help fill some of the gaps that traditional social services dont address. Assistance with medical bills, final arrangements, and support are just a few of the services they offer.
Announcing the launch of their new web site, Donate Car In NJ, they hope to raise much needed funds to help families in their time of need.
Its tragic to have a child that is facing a life threatening illness. One or both parents leave their job to help care for their child, foregoing any luxuries, just concentrating on what is best for their child. The loss of income is no where near as important as the well being of their child.

Over recent years there have been many requests from young families who have lost a child to a life threatening illness. In the US alone over 29,000 children under the age of 1 year and over 10,000 children between the ages of 1 to 14 years die, with cancer being one of the major causes.
Most of these children belong to young couples who are not equipped to deal with the overwhelming costs of funerals and final arrangements. Most often the death is the result of a prolonged illness that has already drained the resources of a young family.
These young families are simply not prepared for this immediate expense. The American Childrens Society is one of the very few charities in America that offer financial assistance for these families.
The organization gets referrals from many respected childrens hospitals, social services, community groups, religious congregations, as well as family members, and friends. In addition to giving financial assistance, the charity has worked with many respected, and very sympathetic, mortuaries to help the families lower the costs of their funeral arrangements.
Due to the economic times we are experiencing in the US today the need for assistance is at its greatest level in decades.
