How do Muslim funerals differ in the US compared to other countries?
I know in some countries the body is cleaned immediately, wrapped and buried in the ground.

In the US there are burial rules where the body is em-bombed, placed in a , a steel container is placed in the ground and the casket placed inside it. In the US do Muslim funerals have to follow the above rules?

No , same rules, there is no difference, mosques arrange all that. I have seen women go the grave site for burials. This is the only difference I guess. I have seen women not to to grave site when I attended a burial in a Muslim country. Body is washed and wrapped in a white cloth and buried.

when the soul is gone…there remains the body of our late dear ones
we therefore with high respect put it where it belongs…i.e…..soil.

the way or rules are parts of whatever being decided no matter america or arabia
