This video is most informative. Of course, as an American listening to the Australian accented English makes it a little more challenging, but actually makes us listen a bit more carefully to what they’re saying. We (I) applaude you for sharing these insights into the untimate reality of life. I used to play the organ for funerals while in college to make a little money for spending. It was fascinating and unsettling all at once.
I love helping people and if this is the closest you can really be to families in time/need of great support then thats me straight up!
@letmeholdsum You must be an idiot.
@eveeve5 it was made in Gawler, S.A. Check out the A.F.D.A (Australian funeral directors association) website – they have information on the industry as well as courses and education – goodluck!
what state and town is this documentary made? I live in Victoria Australia and I want to be a mortician but dont know who to talk to about getting started.
I take my hat off to anyone who can do that sort of job. I’ve met many in the funeral business who are wonderful people, and I admire what they do to help people during their most vulnerable time. That’s got to be the most difficult job on the planet, very involved.
good video but can’t understand them
This was so very interesting. As a person considering going into mortuary science, this has been great to watch.
@dbmrhi tossed into a volcano ftw
@letmeholdsum no shit sherlock
I would like to get into funeral industry myself but because I am mildly disabled I found my m8s whom would love to get work as do myself there is stigma attached despite we are meant to be living in a equal society yet on the quiet we are far far from a equal society in my opinion sadly as do many of disabled m8 agree me too
@ReneeGilmore
My family owns a mortuary here in Portland. I’ve been looking to get into the industry, but find that it’s extremely difficult and there are a few ways to go about it. Could you point me in the right direction? How did you get into this vocation?
@letmeholdsum
Yes.
IS HE SPEAKING ENGLISH?
As a Funeral Director myself, I really enjoyed this documentary, it paints an accurate picture of our job and whats involved within it, it is important I feel, that the general public are able to see behind the scenes and see that we are not morbid dark people, but people who have great job satisfaction in being able to help families in their time of need. Well Done!
Just want to wish you all the best in the future in your ventures.
Right im off for a stiff!! drink!!
@ccfcstu1988
