Elton John is a musical genius! He’s not a lyricist, though and that’s why Bernie Taupin writes the lyrics. This song is really the best piece he ever wrote–hands down!

I was cool with Elton up until he started attacking religion. I know faith groups have had a hard time staying out of politics and respecting individual freedom, but give it a rest, man. You’re rich, famous, everyone loves you and you’ve got equal rights now. Take a chill pill.

It is one of the most beautifully orchestrated songs of all time bar none!
If this song was not on the album, I would not have bought it, at least 5 times. And I still have not got it . All of my girlfriends ripped me off. They knew this would hurt the most. So now i just go 2 u tube and sing along without them. I win!!
