@honeythorn Hum… Sounds interesting.
@doblibby To be honest, I am glad they werent “huge”; the spell would have been broken if they had become mainstream popular. I like the fact that their sound is unique and doesnt have mass appeal: I saw them at the Royal Court Theatre in Liverpool in 1981, at the “height” of their popularity, one of the best concerts I have ever seen, and I have seen many:)
Bauhaus mentions whores an awful lot. x3
@ricocori1 Yeah, I agree, their cover of Ziggy Stardust is pretty good
@ArturoVergaraM: Chill out, I’m pretty sure that was sarcasm.
genius,shame its not theirs,but they own it.
We love u Peter!
:)
This is… EXACTLY … how I feel today….
Music from the soul.
do you think i should get a haircut?
Is Bauhaus the only band ever that could transform originally brilliant songs into even more brilliant songs!? I really think so :-)
John Cale, Velvet Underground’s song. Wonderfully interpretated. From his album “Sabotage”.
Best Evil Laugh ever
@Notokayipromise What the fuck? Is that something you consider cool? You don’t deserve listening to Peter Murphy, Daniel Ash, David J. and/or Kevin Haskins…go listen to Ke$ha
@honeythorn Yeah!Self depreciation!
Classic! Reminds me of Jim Morrison and the Doors!
@SnellSchnell ok sure. check out this video on youtube v=omeM_g5Mt5g and btw it’s not jj cale, it’s john cale from the velvet underground
@molecularash: I could comment if I could hear the original JJ Cale version of Rosegarden until I actually hear the original version I can’t comment on how good a cover it is..but it it sa good track none the less. Still Third Uncle, Ziggy Stardust and Telegram Sam are excellent covers by the band and I stand by that. If you got the orginal version of Rosegarden then please put it on youtube and put lots of us out of our misery :)
@SnellSchnell i think this is their only decent cover. telegram sam and 3rd uncle are pretty lousy…and don’t even get me started on their cover of ziggy stardust : (
Damn!!! It was such a good thing to finally see Bauhaus!! in a great time 1998,i think some body please correct me if i am wrong!!!??? LOL!!! First off i went with my older brother!! Marty lol!!! nobody is going to believe this i know,but back in 1983 my brother and one of his high school friends went to one of the Def Leppard shows in Seattle and my brother and his friend got to meet the entire band!!! after the concert!!! sounds lame now!! i don’t know!!???
This was on the B-side of the 12 inch vinyl version of Telegram Sam, with another song called “Crowds”. I actually had this 12 inch record, but I lost lots of my records years ago, lending them to a friend who decided to move to another city and took my records with her:(
this vid is from my freind pie
It came from next door is my favorite part. I just randomly say it sometimes.
Their best song is…… Stigmata Martyr.
One of my favorites from them even if it’s a cover, I play this song very loud it’s just that good.
