Lord look at all the people who were at this service and have gone on to be with the Lord. Elder Wright, Bishop Hawkins, Min. Whitfield, Michael Neal just to name a few.
it seems like nshe’s taking it real hard
I love you sis walker, youre the best!
@yamaho5 With all due respect, you must not attend black churches nor hear gospel music live a lot. The pianist’s playing is quite appropriate. Gospel, jazz and the blues have? always been related. After all, the “founder” of gospel, Thomas Dorsey, was a jazz and blues pianist. If you think this pianist is being disruptive and playing too much jazz, you should hear people play contemporary gospel nowadays. The pianist in this video is playing in a traditional, “old-school” gospel style.
The best way to download this as an mp3 is on that site mp3iiiiify. Awesome site. GOOGLE mp3iiiiify
RIP James Cleveland
Amen! :)
@visionimagify I was referring to that jive piano going on in the background. It is very disturbing and unnecesary. I love Albertina.
@yamaho5 They always do that during the speaker’s remarks at funerals.
I Have always love to hear Ms. Walker and Rev. Clevaland. Young folks this is gospel music. Singing from the heart not the mouth
My lord and my God! Lord Keep me Day by Day because I want to live in a building not made by hands
and the piano player sounds like he is auditioning for a job with a jazz group. Very disruptive.
the m.c. kinda sounds like James Cleveland
@TheFirecogicuk i thought jason white is the minister of music!
nope, its one of her originals. if you notice, the choir is singing the chorus
did she make this song up on the spot?
AMEN!
Alright Albertina got happy!
Yes. Kurt Carr.
I has to to say these musics um a keeps me going
ok… thanks
I believe sherved in the music or prasie and worship I know it was somewhere around that area. Bishop Blake has alot of talented peopl in his church. The Person playing the piano Kurtt Karr came from Blakes church Thank to James Cleveland.
Oh yes, I know that. But I’ve heard her say she served under Bishop Blake in LA. I was wondering in what capacity?
Dr Judith Mc allister is the president of our (COGIC) music department like Dr Mattie Moss Clark was.
The one and only MS. ALBERTINA WALKER–she practice what she sung about, remembering her earlier song TO WHOM SHALL I TURN–my mother got save playing that song–MAY THE WORK SHE DONE HAS SPOKEN FOR HER
